Top 10 Hotels In Phuket

Best 10 Phuket Hotels

This is a list of 10 Phuket Hotels ranked by TripAdvisor. For each hotel down there is a link to the online price and availability - I recommend Agoda.com if you wish to book a hotel in Phuket. There is also reviewing the link below - also mostly from Agoda where possible - only the people who had booked the hotel through Agoda can make review, and if you check out some of the reviews, they tend reviews are very honest, with the plus points and minus points - combining Agoda reviews with TripAdvisor reviews for an even wider range of sight.

1. Baray Villa (Kata Beach)
The Baray Villa

The Baray Villa - only 14 luxury villas, which are run by Sawasdee Village Resort, but separate from the resort. 2-storey villas with large rooms, jacuzzi, pool access, set in tropical gardens, with a spa available. Review made villa sounded fantastic! Sawasdee Village itself is also part of the 10.

2. The Shore at Katathani (Kata Noi)
The Shore at Katathani

Katathani has been around for years, but The Shore is a luxury "pool villa" of their new building, opened in 2010. And it certainly looks nice! Swimming pool villas, some with seaview (note: reviews mention that the view varies from villa to villa), all with private pools. Very many couples Hotel. I see a lot of reviews honeymoon.

3. Rising Sun Residence (Chalong)
Rising Sun Residence

Not a beach normal, Rising Sun Residence features 12 villas in the hills overlooking Chalong Chalong Temple. There are seven villas with three bedrooms, four of these have a private pool and jacuzzi, a kitchen and a large living room. Five one-bedroom villa is built around a large pool with sun deck and Jacuzzi. away from the beach, so it would suit people who want to explore Phuket and "home" at night. My kind of guy!

4. Andara Resort and Villas (Kamala Beach)
Andara

A 5 star resort, overlooking Kamala Beach found with luxurious villas and a fancy restaurant called "Silk". This is a place to relax and be pampered. All villas have private pools. Note that this resort is not right on the beach - it's on a hillside with great seaviews - but there is a free shuttle to their own private Beach Club.

5. Villa Zolitude (Chalong)
Villa Zolitude

Another "up in the hills" ideas .. and it seems to be very popular. Andara is between Phuket Town and Chalong. Not near the beach. Up on the hill, you pass Andara if driving up Radar Hill. Naturally quiet there, away from the crowds with a far enough. a good idea to have some transport if you stay at this hotel.

6. Sawasdee Village (Kata Beach)
Sawasdee Village

Sawasdee Village has been around for 20 years and is constantly changing to keep up with the latest needs of travelers - scroll back to number 1 (Baray Villa), which is run by the same people. First Sawasdee Village is small, quiet and is built around gardens and water features. Only about 50 rooms and not a great resort. I Sawasdee Village in this blog a few years ago. It was not in the top 10 last year, but it always has a good reputation.

7. BYD Lofts (Patong Beach)
BYD Lofts

BYD Lofts is not so much a hotel, it was more like serviced appartments, with communal rooftop pool, near the center of Patong Beach. There are 1 and 2 bedroom appartments of various sizes. A good place to stay if you want to be near the center of all the action (which Patong) but need a quiet place to retire to.

8. Boomerang Village (Kata / Karon Beach)
Boomerang Village

I did a review of Boomerang Village blog in 2009. A few years ago I was surprised to find it was rated highly, it is very different to some of the hotel - on the hillside behind the Kata and Karon beach, a good 15 minute walk to the sand, but obviously very popular! I think places like this makes for an off-shore location with excellent personal service, plus it was very quiet - hard to believe you are staying in the most tourist destinations of Thailand!

9. Trisara Resort Villas
Trisara

Trisara has a private pool villa on a private beach on the north coast in the northern Layan Phuket. Another of 'secluded, luxury, stunning scenery, forget-your-worries "style hotel. Only 39 villas, a lot of space. Villas range in size 2-6 bedrooms, so it can be ideal for families or large get togethers, or a wedding. Or just for a relaxing trip for some.

10. Mom Tri's Villa Royale (Kata Noi)
Mom Tri's Villa Royale

Mom Tri Devakul is one of the innovators of the Phuket tourism. Her Boathouse Hotel is one of the first five-star boutique hotel with a restaurant Phuket widely recognized and wine cellar which I hear is very good. Villa Royale was built later on land that used to be his home, on a rocky promontory overlooking Kata Noi beach. A staircase from the hotel takes you to the beach and water. The view from the room and from the restaurant as well. It has a certain touch of class, it only has 35 rooms / suites and is often fully booked!

What do you think of 10? Maybe you live elsewhere you think it amazing? There is a trend in recent years for a new luxury resort and for seaview (not on the beach) villa. land prices are very high today in Phuket, so it's hard to think about opening a small hotel or guest house. In recent years, new resorts including the new Holiday Inn and Renaissance Resort was good in Mai Khao Beach and the new Centara Grand Beach Resort in Karon Beach.
